A carburetor is a mechanical device found in some older internal combustion cars. The carburetor plays an important role in mixing fuel and air in the correct ratio before they enter the engine cylinders. The function of the carburetor is to draw fuel from the fuel tank and spray it as a fine mist into the air stream passing through it. The action of the carburetor depends on the effect of the decrease in atmospheric pressure when the air passes quickly through the narrow nozzles inside the device. The carburetor sucks fuel from the tank and mixes it with air to form a combustible mixture. The carburetor contains several important components such as the injectors (nozzles) that determine the amount of fuel that is sprayed into the air, and joints and other mechanical parts that allow the fuel flow to be adjusted based on the engine's demand. With the development of technology, most modern cars rely on the electronic fuel injection system instead of the carburetor. The electronic fuel injection system uses sensors and electronic devices to accurately measure and monitor engine requirements and fuel supply. Therefore, if you own a modern car, it most likely does not have a carburetor and instead relies on an electronic fuel injection system.
